This day
Day 10
Day of departure.
My roommates alarm went off early because we had to pack and check out. Luckily she told me some people were going out for breakfast, so I jumped at the chance. It’s not like me to be so needy like that, but I really hated being alone for so long. So breakfast was good and I got caught up with what everyone had done for the last day and a half since I had seen people.

Day 9
This was my last full day in Chicago…and also a free day. Most other people stayed up late drinking and planned to sleep in, but I left the party early. So another day flying solo.
But if you hadn’t noticed, I have yet to have visited one of the most important places in Chicago… Harpo Studios! It was a bit out of the way and involved taking the train and walking about 20...
Day 8
This was our last planned day, which I am thankful for because that means less early mornings.
We headed down to the CAF for our final walking tour. I did the modernist tour. It was not good though because we had pretty much seen and learned about all the buildings we went to. That plus everyone’s feet are just toast. I am walking so weird trying to compensate the soreness and blisters...
Day 7
It was a mad rush to get all my crap into my bag in order to be on time to meet our group. Also on this day, it was 25 degrees by 8am!!! It got up to 36 and was crazy crazy humid. So imagine me with a huge hiking backpack and smaller backpack marching to the train station, switching trains, and walking to the hotel. I was freaking sweaty mess. But the location of our hotel is fantastic. One block...
Day 6
So this day we headed down to hyde park (home of the obama’s house) to the university of Chicago campus.
Arriving on the campus we checked out the bookstore and Starbucks because this day was actually EXTREMELY HUMID. Like Asia humid. I had to buy some shorts because I was so dang hot!
Then we walked into the oldest part of the campus. It was modeled after Oxford…so you can only...
Day 5
FREE DAY!!!!
Even after my night of drinking I still managed to drag my ass outta bed because I really didn’t want to waste the day. There were different group of people doing different things. Some rented a car and went to a famous house out in the suburbs. Others were going to spend the day shopping and some just slept most of the day and hung around campus. I didn’t really want to...
Day 4
This was the start of the frank Lloyd wright part of our trip. He is a really famous architect who invented the prairie school of architecture.
We met at our usual place infront of 7-11 to depart on the train. I bought a coconut water because they are supposed to be good for you, but it tasted terrible.
We took the train to the end of the line to a suburb called oak park. It was stunning and...
